In this article we will explain in detail everything you need to know to cash in an account in Argentina or to sell in Argentine Pesos. Sales settlements for customers in Argentina.
What is the "Liquid Product"?
In Argentina, publica.la operates as a payment gateway through a SAS company so it has to meet certain legal and tax requirements to comply with the obligations of AFIP (Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos), the country's public tax regulatory body.
For the aforementioned reasons and in order to offer a simpler and more convenient service to our clients, publica.la has had to adopt the figure of "Commission Agents". That is, to be intermediaries in the collection of the digital content that you sell through our platform to your end users.
This figure has the obligation to issue sales invoices to the final consumers of your content and, in addition, we must issue you a type of "purchase invoice" called "Liquido Producto".
This document has the treatment of "Purchase Invoice" for publica.la and, therefore, you have to consider it as "Sales Invoice" for your business. The only particularity is that it must be issued by publica.la.
On a monthly basis we generate and report the Liquido Producto on the AFIP website and send it to the email address you specified. You only have to report it in your AFIP portal as a sale. To understand this in depth, we recommend that you consult your local accountant, as this article is merely informative.
publica.la is in charge of collecting sales from end users, assuming associated costs, issuing invoices - sales and liquid product invoices - and paying taxes, in order to comply with Argentine legislation.
Our goal is to offer you a service that involves the least effort on your part, so that you only have to worry about generating content, selling and receiving your money on a monthly basis.
Sales settlements for Argentines who sell both in Argentine Pesos and in a secondary currency:
publica.la will settle separately the sales you make in US Dollars -or any other currency-, from the sales you make in Argentine Pesos.
On a monthly basis, we will settle your sales in US dollars (as long as they exceed USD 100; otherwise, they will be accumulated for the following month) and your sales in Argentine pesos (whatever the monthly amount). We will send you an e-mail within the first 15 days of the month following the month to which the settlement corresponds, informing you the amount you will receive in each currency respectively.
We will also send you the money to a bank account that you indicate when you create your Store. You must inform us a bank account in Argentina - in order to receive a transfer in local currency -, and a bank account in US dollars.
Only for settlements in Argentine pesos, the email must be accompanied by the corresponding tax receipt (Liquid Product).
We assume the costs of sending the money, and you are only responsible for the bank charges associated with the receipt of the money.
It is an indispensable requirement that the bank accounts where you want to receive your money are in the name of your business or in the name of a person with sufficient power to represent your business.
