Smart Zoom will allow you to improve the reading experience of users by converting a PDF into an interactive edition quickly and easily.
Feature articles, add internal links, videos, Markdown and custom HTML code to your posts.
Your readers will be able to share the articles with their contacts through the means they want and thus your content will have greater reach.
In this article:
1. Enable Smart Zoom in my store.
Go to Control Panel > Settings > Advanced.
In the Manage Publishing Features section, check the Enable Smart Zoom option
Ready! you activated Smart Zoom in your store.
2. Set up Smart Zoom.
Find the publication to which you want to add this function from:
Control panel > Content > My inventory or Control panel > Publications .
Click the dropdown menu next to Edit and choose Smart Zoom.
The panel will open in which you can create articles within the chosen publication:
Description of each field:
Define position: Choose a start page and an end page for the article. By clicking on define position you will be able to mark with the cursor an area of the publication where you want a mark to appear so that the user can click and access the article.
Choose label: Here you can choose the icon that represents the article that you are publishing.
Position Icon: Press the "Position Icon" button and choose by hand where this icon will be positioned within the sheet.
⚠️You will be able to view the icon in its chosen position after saving the changes.
If you do not choose a home page, the article will be created on the page you have active and the user will enter directly through the Smart Zoom button, being able to access all the articles.
💡A common use case is to place the article right next to the title so the user can enter only the article they want.
Subtitle, title, download, author: In the case of an article, for example a newspaper article, you can complete the fields subtitle, title, download, author. They will be displayed as follows:
👉 The only mandatory field is the Title.
Body: Add a body to the article. You will be able to add plain text, Markdown, HTML code and hyperlinks.
For example: to add a link, write the text that users will see
select it and add the URL that users will be redirected to. Click on the icon to add a hyperlink and after typing the URL click on Link :
If you want to add Markdown you must click on the icon:
To add HTML code click on the next button and write or paste the code to display a video, image, etc.
You will be able to insert forms, videos, links, images or other resources by adding HTML code. See more .
Upload image: If you want each note to have its own image, enable its upload and upload an image with the required formats:
Caption: Add a caption to the image.
Once you have finished creating the articles, click Save .
You can create all the articles you want on each of the pages:
3. Content you can share with Smart Zoom
In addition to writing text and adding links, with this tool you can share additional resources to your reader users through HTML code that you can insert in the body of the article.
We share some ideas:
a. Videos .
You can insert videos hosted on YouTube or other platforms. In this example we will show you how to get the link from Youtube to incorporate it into the Smartzoom article:
1. Go to Youtube and search for the video you want to embed.
2. Just below the playback options you will find the Share option :
Click on it and the following window will open:
Choose the " Incorporate " option
3. Copy the code provided by Youtube:
4. Paste the code in the body of the article, previously clicking on the button to insert HTML code:
5. Click Insert HTML Code and then Save. Ready!
The video you added will look like this:
b. Google Forms .
This can be useful, for example, if you want to offer your client to include a practical for their students at the end of a chapter or at the end of the ebook. You can also use the form for surveys, registration for a course or webinar, etc.
To do so follow these steps:
1. Create a Google Form
2. Once you have finished it, click on the Send or Send button located in the upper right margin:
3. A window with options will open. To obtain the code that you must place in the body of the article, click on the icon
and copy the code shown below:
4. Paste the code in the body of the article, previously clicking on the button to insert HTML code:
5. Click Insert HTML Code and then Save. Ready!
The form you added will look like this:

You can add music, audiobooks or podcasts. In this example we will show you how to get the link of an Audiobook from Spotify to incorporate it into the Smartzoom article:
1. Open the Spotify app and find the audio you want to share.
2. Once you have located the podcast or audio, click on the three dots icon to see the available options:
3. Position yourself in Share or Share and choose the Embed episode/track option
The following window will open:
4. Click Copy or Copy
5. Paste the code in the body of the article, previously clicking on the button to insert HTML code:
6. Click Insert HTML Code and then Save. Ready!
The audio you added will look like this:
d. typeform .
Create surveys or questionnaires related to the theme of the ebook, check the reading experience of your users through a survey, and much more! This tool is easy to use and has free or paid plans. To incorporate Typeform into the body of the article, follow these steps:
1. Go to Typeform and create a quiz.
2. Once you have finished, go to the Share or Share option
3. Copy the link provided by Typeform
and paste it inside the following code:

4. Copy the code that you created in the previous step and paste it into the body of the article, previously clicking on the button to insert HTML code:
5. Click Insert HTML Code and then Save. Ready!
The quiz you added will look like this:
and. Kahoot .
Add interactive activities like quizzes and trivia, ideal for children or young readers. Kahoot allows you to create a question and answer game with multiple options in which the participants will compete adding points with their correct answers. It has paid or free plans. We show you step by step how to embed the game inside a Smart Zoom article:
1. Go to Kahoot and set up a trivia.
2. Once you have finished go to Library and look for the game. Click Play :
The following window will open in which we recommend you choose the Assign option so that readers can play at any time:
3. After clicking Assign, the Challenge window will open. Click Create New :
You can configure the date until when the game will be available, once you do, click on Create :
4. Copy the URL:
and paste it inside the following code:
