You will be able to create a large number of discount coupons. They will share a prefix, for easy recognition, and the rest of the coupon will be generated randomly, so that each coupon has a unique code.

  1. You must go to the Control Panel > Coupons. Click on the button with an arrow to the right of the Create button. Then select the option Create bulk coupons.

2. The following form will open and you will have to fill it in as described below.

  • Quantity

It will determine the final number of coupons you wish to generate. Each coupon will have a unique code and they will only share the prefix (the first few characters).

  • Prefix

Up to 5 characters (numbers or letters) that all coupons will share. They will help you identify any block of coupons created.

  • Discount

Here you must specify the discount percentage you want to apply with the coupons you are creating. As a general rule, shops with Full e-commerce and Revenue Share plans will be able to generate coupons of up to an 80% discount. Shops with Unlimited plans will be able to generate coupons of up to 100% discount. If you have any doubts, please contact us by email.

  • Use limit

This number indicates how many times a coupon can be used. When generating mass coupons, it is usual (and recommended) to indicate only one use for each coupon.

  • Valid to

This is the date until which the vouchers will be valid for redemption. This indicates that the coupon can be redeemed until that date, but it does not affect the length of time the user will have access to the content. Once a voucher is redeemed in exchange for a publication, a user will have lifetime access to the publication, as if they had paid for it. The same will happen if the coupon is redeemed in exchange for a subscription, which is why we do not recommend using it for subscriptions. For this purpose we have other tools such as the free trial period in plans.

  • Usage restrictions

    • In case you select the option "Allow use on individual sales and subscriptions" without specifying any particular content within either of the two boxes then the vouchers will be redeemable for any content within the shop (any publication and/or plan).

    • You could also choose to select only one of the options. Either "Allow usage in individual sales" or "Allow usage in subscriptions". In which case the coupon could be exchanged for either any publication uploaded to the shop OR for any plan.

    • The third alternative is to create coupons for a specific piece of content. For example in the following screenshot, the publication can only be redeemed for a specific publication with the title "The art of testing". For this you must enter the name or title of the content on which you want the coupon to be used. You can enter more than one title or plan name. In case you have specified a plan or publication, the coupons will be restricted to and will only be able to be redeemed for that content.

  • Limit the number of uses per user

This limit is most commonly used when creating individual coupons (not massively) with multiple uses. It is used for example when creating a single coupon with 500 uses, to limit the number of times a single user can redeem the coupon. In the case of mass coupon creation, we would recommend creating coupons with a single use, so it would not be necessary to specify it.

  • Limit the number of uses per publication

As in the previous field, this is intended for the creation of individual coupons, not mass coupons. It is useful, for example, when creating a single coupon with 500 uses, to limit the number of times it can be redeemed for the same publication. In the case of mass coupon creation, we have recommended creating coupons with a single use, so it would not be necessary to specify it.

Once the coupons are finished being generated in the shop, you will automatically receive an email with the list of created coupons (only the newly generated ones).
