How to assign a plan to a user

Manually assign plans to your users. This will allow you to give courtesy accesses or assign temporary sample accesses.

Step by step :

1. Go to Control Panel -> Users

2. Search for the user you want to add a plan to by using the search field.

📌 If that user is not registered yet, you can create it by following this tutorial.

3. Once the user is found, click Edit

4. Where it says " Assign Plan" choose the plan you want.

5. If it is a Recurring plan, you can click Save.

If it is a Prepaid type plan, an additional field will appear where it will allow you to indicate an expiration date for that plan. Choose the date you want and then click Save.

It is common to come across a moment when we are uploading a publication and the file remains processing for many minutes or even hours.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

Some of the more common reasons can be that the file may have images with very high resolution, graphics or images that go beyong the limits of a page or problems with the PDF structure itself.

HOW CAN WE PREVENT THIS SITUATION?

The easiest way to avoid having processing issues is starting the process with a file that has no conflicting elements in it. For this, in the design stage you can create a file without the elements mentioned in the previous point.

If you are not sure if the PDF file is Ok you can create a new copy following the process described below. Please notice we will assume Adobe InDesign is the program used for the creation of the publication because it is the most common option but a similar process should be available in other programs.

1- When the document is ready in InDesign, preferably avoiding all conflicting elements, export it to a file with the PDF/X 2001 standard. This will generally "clean" the document.

2- Open the PDF/X 2001 file using ADOBE PRO and converted to the PDF/A-1a standard. During this process Adbe will report any errors it finds in the file but will normal

In this article we will show you how to update your publication files.

This will be useful for uploading a new edition of an ebook or updating files with errors.

Please note that:

Files can only be updated individually
You can only update files of the same type, i.e. you can replace PDF with PDF, Epub with Epub and Mp3 with Mp3.

Go to Control Panel > Content > My Inventory or Control Panel > Issues.
Find the publication you want to update and click on the drop-down menu. Select the option "Update PDF/EPUB/MP3 file"

Drag the file to the pink box or click it to browse for it in your computer.
Then click on Update file.

⚠️ Be aware that your users' notes and highlights may be lost or affected, as well as readership metrics.

Done! Once the upload has finished processing, your file will be updated.

Update the cover: click on the image or the "Update cover" button and choose browse your computer for the desired image. Make sure that it meets the following requirements:
Accepted formats: jpg, jpeg, png
Minimum size: "256x256px"
Up to 20MB
Modify:
Name(title)
Genre (BISAC)
Descrption
Identifiers (ISBN or ID, Collections, Keywords)
Price
General information (Release date, language, Audience, Authors, Categories, Countries, Editions, Narrators, Publishers, Publishing Groups)

The accepted formats are PDF, EPUB & MP3 (Audiobook, Podcasts, etc.)
The file cannot exceed 320 MB

If you are uploading a PDF file, here are some recommendations to provide the best experience for readers.

Recommendation for EPUB files:

To avoid file decoding errors in the reader, it is recommended that the fonts are not encrypted.
We suggest using Epubs version 3.
