How to create metadata categories
In this tutorial we will show you how to create new categories and manage existing ones.

The metadata categories (or Taxonomies) will allow you to identify your publications within different groups to later create filters, create carousels and allow a simpler search for users.
Step by step:
1) Control Panel -> Settings -> Advanced, Taxonomies:
2) In the category : Activate Taxonomies you can select which of the default taxonomies will be active, so that when uploading a publication you can add data to it. In case it is disabled, you will not see this taxonomy when uploading a publication.
3) If you want to create a custom taxonomy you must go to Custom Taxonomies and write the name of the new taxonomy and then click on Add
4) Finally click on Save
Now you can use these new fields to load metadata when uploading your publications.
