In this article we will show you how to connect your in-store tracking code so you can measure the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns.
Why should I connect my Google Analitycs 4 tracking code? Connecting your Google Analitycs 4 tracking code allows you to have information about all the users who have accessed your shop and to have it integrated into your own Analitycs account in which you currently manage your domain. With this you can measure how your users behave on your website.
🚩IMPORTANT: Google Analytics has migrated to Google Analytics 4 and starting July 1st the data of those who do not switch to GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4 will begin to be missed.
📊 From Analytics: we get the code.
If this is your first time with Google Analytics 4, follow these steps 👇:
GA4 introduction, here.
Create your Google Analytics 4 account and a Google Analytics 4 property.
On the "Home" page of your GA4, click on the blue button that says "Website".
In the "Website URL" section, indicate your shop's domain, and in the "Stream name" section, choose the name you are going to give it and click on the blue button at the bottom that says "Create Stream".
Once you have completed these steps you will be automatically redirected to your Web Stream details section, where at the top right corner you will find your tracking tag ID with the prefix "G-". This is the one you will need to save and set up in your shop.
If you already had setup your Google Analytics (previous version), follow these steps👇:
If you were already using the previous version of GA4, then you will need to upgrade to the new version.
You can find more information and a step-by-step guide on how to migrate to GA4 in Google's official documentation by clicking here.
You will need to create the GA4 property and set up the GA4 configuration wizard.
Once you are through with the wizard, you will see the message "You have successfully connected your properties" at the top of the Google Analytics 4 Property Setup Wizard page.
