In this article, we will introduce you to integrated reader tools so that you can learn how your readers will enjoy your content.

With your administrator user you will be able to open the reader in two ways:


- Clicking on Read on any title in the store.

- Accessing a publication from Control Panel > Publications.

Your reader users will be able to access only from the store, by clicking on Read once they have purchased the title.



Once opened, you will see different tools for both Epubs and PDF publications.

Some tools are only available for PDF publications.

1. Change the background color.


Click on the settings icon in the upper right margin and choose between a light or dark theme:



2. Zoom.


Zoom in or out by clicking the +(zoom in) - (zoom out) buttons:

3. Page width.


Set this setting if you want the content to cover the whole reader or if you want to see the whole page:

4. Page Layout.


Choose whether you want to scroll horizontally, read on a double-page or scroll vertically:







5. Listen.


Play the ebook text by clicking on the headphones icon. You will be able to choose different voices, pause, and stop from there:



6. See thumbnails.


Click on the icon at the bottom left margin and access the thumbnail view:






7. Fullscreen.


To read in Fullscreen click on the available button at the bottom right margin:



To exit this mode press ESC from your keyboard or press the icon again.



8. Table of Contents.

In the bar on the right side of the reader, the first icon allows you to access the table of contents of the publication. You can scroll by clicking on each section:



You must add bookmarks to the PDF to make the table of contents available.


9. Notebook.

The notebook will show the highlights and notes made in the publication. You can filter by color or by type of annotation (highlights and notes):



10. Search.


Clicking on the magnifying glass will open the search tool, where you can type the text you need to find within the publication:



You can click on each match to position yourself on the page where the word you searched for is found.



11. Add to Favorites.

For quick and easy access next time, you can mark the book as a favorite by clicking on the heart icon:




You will then find it available in My Favorites:


12. Share.


Share the link to the publication you are reading on your favorite social networks:

13. Highlight.

Select the text you want to highlight and choose a color to highlight it:



You will see your highlights saved in the Notebook.


14. Create notes.


Select the text where you want to add a note and click Create a note. You will be able to write your annotation and mark it with color:


You will see your notes saved in the Notebook.



15. Citation.


Select a text or paragraph and click on Citation to get the citation in the format you need:




16. Translator.


Select the text you want to translate and click on Translate. You will be able to choose from hundreds of languages:
