Resetting a user's password

In this article we will show how to reset a user's password from the store.

Your users can request to reset their password in case they forget it, when logging in by clicking on Reset password.

In case they need to change their password, they can do it from "Account".

👉You can tell them these options are available to them as a first step.

If a user has forgotten their password and you want to help them recover it, you can do this from the control panel in two ways:

Go to Control Panel > Users:

• Option 1: Find the user whose password you want to reset. Click on the drop-down menu and choose the Send password reset link option.

The user will receive an email with instructions on how to reset their password.

• Option 2: Find the user whose password you want to reset. Click on Edit and in the "password" field type a new password. Then click Save and share the new password with the user.

We recommend telling them that this is a temporary password and suggesting that they change it from the "Account" section, after logging in again.
