Add a pop-up and a product page notice
In this article we will show you how to add a scheduled pop-up to the Home of your store and a short notice that is shown on the page of every product.

ADD A POP-UP TO THE HOME
1. Go to Control Panel > Settings > Interface > Appearance.
2. Open the Home and go to the Page settings tab.
3. Find the Home pop-up card and click Create pop-up. If a pop-up already exists, the card shows its title and its frequency, next to the Edit button.
4. In the editor, fill in the fields explained below.
⚠️ The pop-up only appears on the Home of the store, never on other pages. It is also not shown until it has a title, a text or an image.

💡 If the button link goes to another site, it opens in a new tab. If it is a path on your store, it opens in the same tab.
When it is shown

- Once: each visitor sees it one time.
- Every N days: the visitor sees it again after that number of days.
- Always: it is shown on every visit to the Home.
- The Starts and Ends dates are counted in your store time zone. The pop-up is shown from the start of the first day to the end of the last day.
⚠️ Each visitor's browser remembers whether they have already seen the pop-up. If they clear their browser data or use another browser or device, they will see it again.
⚠️ Any change you make to the pop-up makes it show again to everyone, including those who had already closed it. This includes fixing a typo.
PUBLISH AND REVERT THE POP-UP
The pop-up has its own publishing, separate from the rest of the Home.
1. With the pop-up open in the editor, click Publish. The message confirms that only the pop-up is published and that the other changes of the page stay in the draft.
2. If you want to go back, click Revert to published version. The pop-up goes back to its published version and the other Home changes stay as they are.

💡 Pop-up changes do not make the Home show unpublished changes, because the pop-up has its own publishing status.
⚠️ To publish the pop-up, you must have published the Home at least once first. If you have not done it yet, publish the Home and then publish the pop-up again. To see how a page is published, read Edit and publish a page in Appearance.
ADD A NOTICE TO THE PRODUCT PAGE
The notice is a single message shown in a blue information box on the page of all your products. It is useful for information that applies to the whole store, such as shipping times, a return policy or a general disclaimer.
1. Go to Control Panel > Settings > Interface > Appearance.
2. Open Pages and select Product page. You can also choose it in the page selector at the top of Appearance, under Store pages.
3. In the Notice row, click Edit.
4. Write your message in the Content field.
5. When you are done, publish the product page with Publish. The notice goes live together with that publishing.
💡 The editor saves your changes automatically to the draft. The text is shown in the store only when you publish the product page.
⚠️ The product page has its own publishing, separate from the Home. Publishing it does not change the Home. The confirmation message reminds you that your text will be shown on the product page of every publication in your store.
What you can write
- The limit is 2,000 visible characters. A counter shows how many you have used.
- You can use paragraphs, line breaks, bold, italic, underline, bulleted lists, numbered lists and links.
- Images, embedded content and strikethrough are not allowed. If you paste text with other formatting, that formatting is removed.
- You cannot show different notices on different products: it is a single text for all product pages.
Show or hide the notice
- If the text is empty, the notice is hidden automatically. When you add text, it is shown again.
- Once there is text, an eye icon appears to hide the notice on the page. If you hide it, it stays hidden, even if you edit the text later, until you show it again.
💡 The editor preview needs at least one published product. If you do not have any, the editor tells you so and offers a button to go to Content.
⚠️ If your store still uses the previous editor, the notice stays hidden until you publish the Home for the first time. When you publish it, the store goes live and the notice appears on the product pages.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The pop-up is not shown on my store. Why?
Check these points in order:
- The pop-up or the Home is not published. Both are needed.
- The Visible switch is off, or the pop-up has no title, text or image.
- Today is outside the Starts and Ends dates, counted in your store time zone.
- The visitor has already seen it. With Once or Every N days, the browser remembers the visit.
- The visitor is on another page. The pop-up only opens on the Home.
Can I upload an image to the pop-up?
No. The image is a link to a file hosted somewhere else. Use a link that starts with https:// or a path on your store.
The notice is published but visitors do not see it. Why?
The store is probably not live yet because the Home is not published. It may also be that the notice is empty or hidden with the eye icon.
